I don't know if this will help with the URBAN LEGENDS CONTEST where Stock - Hero or Villain was featured to my pleasant surprise, but I thought I'd add a few "upclose & personal" scans of the weapon in the basement photos.
If you do choose to use something, give me credit and I'd love it if you sent a note.
I love the stock pictures of the Colt up close. I really enjoy looking at the details of it!

Thank you! I really like it and it matches your avatar so nicely, been thinking of that since I've been uploading these.
I have taken a look at people's comments including yours, please excuse me not getting back to them all yet; a lot going on, plus I'm nicely overwhelmed by it.

Did you buy it from him or was it a gift of some kind? It's very interesting...
On a side note, I really like the photograph. It's very '50s, very classy.

It's a family heirloom. Without his death, I could not have been born. And yet, he was a far better man than my own father. We've never "met" but I insisted upon visiting his grave, wanted to since I was young, finally got the chance as an adult. I'd like to visit again too.
Isn't it? I like it too. It is about that old. The picture was taken on a whim, an attempt at a modeling pose which was unlikely at the time but as you can see...he had a quality. It's funny, for the first time, he reminded me of myself for a moment or vice versa.
You can see the deeper symbolism in the item then, even the irony of it.

Wow. That's very intense, yet really intriguing. I love to hear about things like this. It always makes my day.
I think maybe you should try to imitate the picture in one of your stock photos at some point. I'd love to see how you'd portray it. Plus you're very good at manipulating the space around you to your advantage. I always love that about your self portrait(?) stock photos.

I'm glad you're the sort of person who does enjoy that. Yeah, it is intense and normally I wouldn't tell anybody that, particularly in real life. As a younger person especially, it was like most around me weren't equipped to deal with that...kind of emotion and so I learned to be very introverted. These days, I can behave in an extroverted fashion if the situation calls for it but much is still hidden and I cautiously reveal it. Mn. That feeling is difficult to convey; I think that made sense.
That's an intriguing idea. Thank you.
I think "self-portrait" works. They are meant to reflect a piece of essense that I'd associate with my desires to create (and the pen name associated with the efforts).
Ah, it's a special technique learned by walking through dimensions. and reading waaaay too many comics

I also realized that I should include a bit of history with it: [link]
