The story:

_{I always seem to have one of these, don't I?}

These are Temple Tailsman or Amulets (omamori or chizou) -- "Ward" was simply a shorter word to use; a kind of good luck charm purchased from authentic religious pagoda or shrines in Japan (Nippon).

These were given to me by my good & long-time friend Retta; some of you may remember this person from the time I discussed (in my journal) meeting one of the main zombie dancer's from Michael Jackson's "Thriller" video, at her big party.

I'm not sure if these are interesting stock items, but I really love them. She knew my penchance for temples as well as things spiritual/religious and sent them while working in the foreign country. I keep them both hung nearby, as they evoke a strong aura of peace, balance, and harmony to my senses; the culture deeper than the manga or anime, which I long since came to appreciate.
