Artist's Comments

In top hat, full length coat & purple ensemble at a Chihuly exhibit.

Title taken from a song by gypsy-punk singer Gogol Bordello. Used in the surreal, poignantly serious (though humorous) film Everything Is Illuminated -- about life, the holocaust and the holocaust of life; beautiful yet horrible, horrible yet beautiful. See it.

Start wearing purple wearing purple
Start wearing purple for me now
All your sanity and wits they will all vanish
I promise, it's just a matter of time...

I like this one! Surely someone could make use of this ghostly chap in a top hat! :D This one and the other blurry shot could easily contribute a spooky apparition for some talanted photoshopper.

Your stock contributions always make me wish that I had more of a hand at photoshop.

Mmm, I've never seen the movie, but I do know of Gogol Bordello (and I likewise knew the singer was in the movie and they used Gogol Bordello songs). I have this song on my MP3 player!

You look like someone I'd stalk just from the way you're dressed. :3

I apparently attracted the attention of a little boy who felt the same, whose mother came up later and told me so. I thought that was rather cute (he hid from me as she did that).

There was another cool-looking kid of about 12-14 and his snazzy emo sister that stared at me for a while too.

I used to just look and try and not be too obvious but now I've taken to actually call out the person I'm "stalking" and tell them that I love whatever it is the reason I'm stalking them about. When I was at the medical institution for admission I kept looking at this guy dressed heavily gothic and eventually told him to show me his boots and he said he liked mine too. :]

But your sense of fashion is even more unique so it's bound to get more attention and have a better impression than goths. :XD:
I do like it when I get a kid's attention.

Good for you!!

Once in a while I get a photographer's attention as well, but so far my health condition hasn't been reliable enough for me to consider seriously doing anything.

Yes, his popularity did seem to get around and that was very cool. Try to make time to see the film. :)
