She was based off the owner of a British 'zine who also had a fondness for Rumiko Takehashi's characters. Add that to my enjoyment of forked tails thanks to Nightcrawler of the X-men.

The effects are happy accidents resulting in me not yet understanding how to use the layers in photoshop. Original was done in watercolor (left) and acrylics (right).

You are kind. It was my first time toying with it and really the results stem from frustration at not getting the layering effect to work as I intended. Instead I learned other things by accident.

I was careful with the effect however, it's nice of you to notice.

Experimenting with old art is proving rather interesting. I like this much better with the computer enhancements (some of which were kismet since I still don't really know what I'm doing).

Now that I think about it, there are elements that remind me of what I like about your artwork.
